Our mission is to promote the sport of Ladder Golf far and wide, and to encourage participation and competition.
We began our journey in the Summer of 2024 when we organised a short six week course of Ladder Golf games in the church hall of St. Andrews Church, Ashingdon, Essex.
The handful of people who attended the inaugural meeting soon grew into a substantial group, often numbering as many as 20 attendees per session, as the games popularity increased.
Our meetings are as much about social interaction as the game itself, and we always enjoy a group refreshment period during the two hours that we allot to each session. Homemade cakes, biscuits, savouries, and the occasional glass of wine, all feature within the schedule.

Ladder Golf is a game that can be played indoors, as the photographs attest, during the winter months, but is as much fun when it can be played outdoors, in the garden or on the beach when weather permits.
Skill doesn’t feature as much as luck in this game. Players can throw a perfect round throughout one game and hardly score a point in the next. Friendly rivalry and banter are essential, and in some versions of the rules distraction of your opponent during play is deemed to be of fine etiquette.
The whole purpose of the game is to have fun and enjoyment, irrespective of the score line at the end of the match.
